To go along with Ben's new San Gorgonio Wilderness Cam, I made up a labeled photo to help in identifying what you see on the cam. South is basically in the center of this photo, about 1/2 way between Charlton Peak & Shields Peak.

Super cool Cammy!

No good deed goes unpunished.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

Boy Scout Peak is between Charlton and Shields. Ok, maybe not an "official" peak but there is a register.

so where is time lapse button for everyday use?

"give them an inch and they want a mile"

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the real world.

"I solemnly swear that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same"

We are in Mendocino and the AM news is talking about maybe getting some good rain on Wed.

The good news is NoCal may see some decent rain towards next weekend as our first little fall storm hits, though not expecting any precip down there.

Our larger gravel is more in the 1 1/2" range, same as our neighbors, and it's a pain to deal with. And you definitely do not want to have a load of fire wood dumped upon it!!!

I have no trouble raking the pine needles off our 3/4" gravel using a metal leaf rake

ND - If you are starting fresh, get small, pea gravel. That's what we mostly have, my husband can rake up the pine needles, where as in the area with the larger gravel, he has to use a blower.

Campingmom -- I am considering that, just wondering if anyone has any brilliant ideas. My wife and I are likely going to put some gravel in the backyard, and we have a lot of pine needles going on back there, just want to make sure I can at least get the majority of them up before we take the plunge and order 6 tons of gravel haha I think a blower so far is a pretty strong contender.

Thanks RRH. I was checking a few cams here earlier to see what I could see. Good catch on Heavenly.
