To go along with Ben's new San Gorgonio Wilderness Cam, I made up a labeled photo to help in identifying what you see on the cam. South is basically in the center of this photo, about 1/2 way between Charlton Peak & Shields Peak.

Super cool Cammy!

No good deed goes unpunished.

Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me alone.

Boy Scout Peak is between Charlton and Shields. Ok, maybe not an "official" peak but there is a register.

so where is time lapse button for everyday use?

"give them an inch and they want a mile"

Don't argue with an idiot; people watching may not be able to tell the difference.

Someone who thinks logically provides a nice contrast to the real world.

Have to wonder if one of those swarms near the Salton Sea will end up being the trigger for the next big quake on the southern-most section of the San Andreas... 159 years since the last rupture.

Those earthquakes have been crazy down by the salton sea today! Over 50, about a dozen over 3.0, and 3 over 4.0

I'm all for less poles.

There should be less power outages when people don't have poles to crash into.

Would have been a lot cheaper to put some fake branches on the power poles like the cell towers. 99% of the people wouldn't know the difference. Between the crap traffic we have been forced to endure I would have preferred looking at the darn pole with or without branches. Just don't see the trade off.

Benny a few weeks ago I saw 5 dust devils at one time, very high up in the air here in Hesperia. My sister has been seeing the black dust devils with all the ash over in Oak Hills...in the Blue cut area. She says it surely looks like smoke from a fire. I'm sure they get a lot of reports.

Lets see- blvd? road work (still!), 330? road work for full day closures, 18? road work of unspecified type and duration. The hidden gem in this? Apparently hwy 38!!

Yeah i s'pose if you consider all those power poles will be gone, it will look better...

I visited Big Bear Today, and experienced first hand the construction on B bear Blvd. Should be re-named Construction Blvd. I suppose it will all be worth it when finished. Was a beautiful day at the Lake as always this time of year..

Lots of dust devils reported along HWY 138 within the Blue Cut fire, no smoke in the area, just dust/ash getting kicked up by the wind.
