There is some very interesting lake information on the Big Bear Municipal Water District website. For lake levels and information on how far down the lake level is from being full go to WWW.BBMWD. Then click on "Lake Info", Then click on "Historical Lake Level/precipitation" At this point you can click on any year for data for that year, or you can click on "Historical lake level Data"

If you click on Historical Lake Level Data there is a graph of the lake level and a chart that has the data from 1910. Yes 1910 that tells you how many feet down the lake level is from full. I believe whenever the lake level is down 15 feet or more the old dam is visible.

As a retired career firefighter, always be aware that cities, counties, and states write and heavily advertise their spending bills carefully, often showing heroic first responders for a bill loaded with pork! Read the bill before you vote!

I don't have skin in the Sloaf station but I wold prefer the folks up there have a station. But our Cali politicians seem to care more about illegals vs. citizens and property owners. Remember that next time you vote.

Dispatch going out for possible smoke near Bear Mtn/Summit, it's clouds peaking just over the ridge. Looks like smoke, but is mistaken identity.

Seems like every couple of years someone wants us to pay MORE taxes, schools, now the fire dept. Won't see me voting for this crap. OK, off my soapbox.
