I don’t feel that I did anything to deserve congratulations, we all looked for comparison with other venues. I like to see a fair deal on my money I would also like a standard type ledgers on all cites to make it more easy and transparent on the net so a person can research of the budgets and cost. The department will continue on they may do a last hired first fired. Little had some numbers on office staff that I found interesting. The problems if it is management well still remain the same. When the fire department merger was sold that it would be able to run on the existing budgets no additional monies would be needed, that all seem like just yesterday.

Big Bear Firefighters Union issues a vote of no confidence

A spectacular letter, not surprising at all! I believe they're expressing a lot of what the community has already seen and echoed. This letter single-handedly would have passed Measure I. But due to the shortfalls of their leader, it was tough to trust someone with no financial accountability, unfortunately, you don't just keep throwing money at a problem, you fix it! We all saw the bloated salaries (read back if you missed it), that alone should have raised a red flag.

If you have the time, I implore everyone to read the letter in its entirety, as it directly affects us all.

We need to take care of the ones who take care of us and fully support our local fire departments! I hope the board decides to do what's best to get BFA back on track! They are the best and deserve nothing less!

Billy Jean is at your door.

Oh, don't worry if he does lose his job, I'm sure his pension will allow him to laugh all the way to the bank, and THAT is what is tragic.

So those of us who fought against Measure I and were told how wrong we were BY FIREFIGHTERS, now turn out to actually be right. Interesting.

We have had 4th of July practice going on for weeks. Actually had someone up the street shot off a professional type one last week. And we live next to an open field.

There's always fireworks going on down there, year-round. I was down last weekend in HB and it was crazy already!

On a bright note, looking up to sky on Saturday night, we get lunar eclipse and should be clear for great star gazing. Kinda wish I had a telescope

I think the City made the right decision to protect the community we all love. It will be a different 4th of July but we live in a different world. Not for me, but for my kids and grandkids I wish and pray for a better world.
