watchful26 minute(s) ago Oh, okay. It would be nice if BVES had that capability -- maybe some day they will... Thank you for keeping us updated as much as is possible!
BillyJean27 minute(s) ago Portions of LA County actually have far worse outages during Santa Ana season, probably don't hear about it, as we're more directly affected locally. Even down in Running Springs, I know they've been out for days at a time.
⚡WX ALERT⚡29 minute(s) ago Sorry Watchful, I don't have a map, just know the power is still out too in parts of upper Moonridge.
watchful36 minute(s) ago WX or SCM- Is there a real-time map of Big Bear Valley outages/rolling blackouts? If so, could you please share a link to it?
PrincessHeart41 minute(s) ago Power out at Big Bear City near Lippy's. Nice
marshall42 minute(s) ago BillyJean, I stand corrected. Your right about lawsuits. Just seems BBL gets hammered every time a wind comes up. Dont see LAV getting affected near what BB gets.
BillyJean Your right. I stand corrected.
watchful44 minute(s) ago WX- Are you seeing those few outage areas on some kind of live map? If so, could you share a link to it?
⚡WX ALERT⚡53 minute(s) ago I do see a few areas still out, hopefully they're on it!
SCM ALERT🚨2 hour(s) ago Big Bear Valley PSPS Update: Power Restoration & Community Conservation Needed Big Bear Lake, CA – Bear Valley Electric Service has restored power to all customers. While electric service has been restored, Southern California Edison (SCE) continues to maintain a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) on the transmission lines that serve BVES. As a result, the PSPS event remains active and the warning period continues through 12:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28, due to forecasted high winds and elevated wildfire risk. BVES will continue monitoring conditions and will provide updates if the situation changes.
SCM ALERT🚨3 hour(s) ago [UPDATE] SMOKE CHECK in RUNNING SPRINGS Usfs Units Are In The Area. So Far Nothing Showing. No Smoke Seen. Units Will Continue To Check The Area. DETAILS: [Click Here]
BillyJean3 hour(s) ago Lawsuits are actually the reason they're shutting the power off. Every time it's windy, and a line comes down and starts a fire, people sue. A Double-edged sword. So as a preventative, they're proactive cutting the power. Can't win, it's the price of modern-day conveniences. If everyone stopped suing for any reason, we wouldn't be here.
marshall3 hour(s) ago Living BBL fulltime? For a new homeowner the +s are pretty darn tempting. The -s are TCs closing the highway for a short time. Floods, fires closing the highways for days, weeks and months. Add in your PSPS and maybe someone says hell no. A law suit needs to happen to prevent the unnecessary power drops. Why is everyone putting up with this crap year after year. 3rd world country?
watchful4 hour(s) ago Will do. Thanks for the heads-up!
