Southern California Edison Public Safety Power Shutoff
Big Bear Lake, CA – Bear Valley Electric Service (BVES) is informing customers that Southern
California Edison (SCE) will be implementing a Public Safety Power Shutoff (PSPS) affecting BVES
supply lines. The period of concern extends through 12 am Sunday, June 28th. This precaution is mainly due to high winds and aims to reduce wildfire risk, ensuring community safety during the anticipated extreme weather conditions

Well, it looks like everyone "should" be back online by now. Hopefully, that's the end of it. However, the PSPS ⚠️ runs through midnight tonight.

Winds will begin to subside tomorrow, with fair and warmer weather returning next week. Temperatures should return to normal with a high near 80 degrees forecast for our July 4th holiday! 🎆🎇🎉

Monsoon moisture could make a return the following week, more likely by around mid-July! ⛈️

Portions of LA County actually have far worse outages during Santa Ana season, probably don't hear about it, as we're more directly affected locally. Even down in Running Springs, I know they've been out for days at a time.

Sorry Watchful, I don't have a map, just know the power is still out too in parts of upper Moonridge.

I stand corrected. Your right about lawsuits. Just seems BBL gets hammered every time a wind comes up. Dont see LAV getting affected near what BB gets.

Power Restoration & Community Conservation Needed
Big Bear Lake, CA – Bear Valley Electric Service has restored power to all customers. While electric
service has been restored, Southern California Edison (SCE) continues to maintain a Public Safety
Power Shutoff (PSPS) on the transmission lines that serve BVES. As a result, the PSPS event
remains active and the warning period continues through 12:00 a.m. Sunday, June 28, due to
forecasted high winds and elevated wildfire risk. BVES will continue monitoring conditions and will
provide updates if the situation changes.
