@gratefulone I have recalled one member then had to take the city to court over the fraud that was committed. Your vote does not matter to the council because they will do what they want due to the protection of the League of California cities. That is a hack org ran by Randy Putz. He has worn his welcome put and now is pooping all over everything he touches. WE HAVE RECALLS READY. Look at how many lawsuits the city is in since Sund came to work for us. Still retained??? Good morning, GratefulOne! It's possible that the "laundry room" might actually be an unpermitted Accessory Dwelling Unit/ Junior Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU/JADU) under construction. If it was me, I'd request that Building & Safety look into this matter.
While ADUs themselves are not technically illegal, many owners don't want the hassle of creating safe living quarters, paying additional fees, reporting rental income, etc. And when owners are THAT negligent, they're often also careless about who they rent to.
SCE- the equipment exists that prevents wind caused sparks from igniting fires. BVES installed it a few years ago. SCE doesn't want to because it costs money out of their profits. Contact the PUC and complain. The more citizens that do the more likely they are to force SCE to comply or pay hefty fines.
Richardbo- true about Sund but I've been to council meetings where Putz stood for the citizens and was out voted by the self serving council members. Sadly it takes more than one decent politician to change things. Of course attending council meetings keeps the heat on the others and is effective. Have you been lately?

@gratefulOne I thought maybe 8am is when they can legally start but we have SoCal gas working on our street and it feels like they start up around 7-7:30.
