I don't know I'd say the new norm. It's traditionally hottest around late June/early July until monsoon moisture arrives. Then we typically stay fairly close to average the remainder of the summer. But getting up around 90 is not all that uncommon. Only 10 degrees above average. Didn't even set any records this week.

I wonder if the sheriff has changed the designation for assault?

Yup. A few weeks ago I posted about the noticeable increase in assaults. No one replied to my post then, but it's now clear that others have also noticed this sad trend.

Van, totally agree! We had one across the street from us a couple of weeks ago. Lots of law enforcement. It was so disturbing.

MrsB it is unnerving when its not close by but even more so when its so close.

fire truck and paramedic just went up the street I'm assuming for the assault victim on Ridgecrest. Anyone know anything more?
