FROM CALFIREBDU: The #SummitFire is currently at 2,021 acres with 0% containment. We are in unified command with SB County Fire, CalFire, and Angeles National Forest.
DRIFT SMOKE ALERT Drift smoke from the Summit fire WSW of Pinion Hills is highly visible in the San Bernardino Mountains. At the time of this post, no active fires are burning in the Big Bear/Lake Arrowhead/Crestline areas. The Summit fire is burning in the Angeles National Forest and is over 2000 acres. The Summit Fire near Phelan started around 12:38pm today as that is when we got a "ping" from the AWF Table Mountain #2 camera. Air Attack 12 was flying the Lucerne Valley fire at that time, saw the smoke, and was overhead shortly after. Then it was off to the races....
