Power went out here in Running Springs about 10 minutes ago at 5:05 am.

I can still hear the helio go right over our house. Makes the house shake but love hearing and feeling it.

Night Vission goggles have improved over the years and are an incredible asset to qualified pilots

Butter, things are looking pretty good on the fire right now. Don't have an updated acreage but firefighters are doing great work and they have some assistance from night flying helicopters. Humidity is back up to 40% from 6% earlier today which will help a lot. Also, winds are not bad at 5-8 mph out of the SW (pushing the fire away from the Big Bear Valley).

Chat feature worked thank you. This isn’t going to get big is it? I don’t know what your winds are doing? Praying it doesn’t.

The CH-47 Helitanker is still dipping from the lake and making drops in the dark (presumably assisted by infrared tech). What a brave and commendable pilot!
