SCM ALERT🚨3 minute(s) ago [BFA INCIDENT DISPATCH] AIRCRAFT INCIDENT IN BIG BEAR CITY - E MOUNTAIN VIEW BLVD BIG BEAR CITY DETAILS: [Click Here]
watchful16 minute(s) ago West end of BB Valley: picking up the scent of drift smoke perhaps, but from where??
Gorn19 minute(s) ago Thank you. I checked the incident and must have looked right at it. If that pin drop is accurate, it would have been a bit of a hike down to the gun site along the Siberia trail. I saw BBFA and county heading up this morning.
I saw something like this in Pasadena once and a fire authority told me it isn't so much all the equipment that is needed as much as the number of people for the rescue. I certainly hope the story had a happy ending.

Also, thank you MtnR. It will be nice not to be surprised by an outage when things a calm where I am.

Airport Razz9 hour(s) ago Hornet, Isn't that the satelitte guy over by Twin Bear Rentals?? got a contact number handy?
⚡WX ALERT⚡9 hour(s) ago Thx MtnR. With the onshore flow returning, tighter pressure gradients will generate gusty west winds 15-25 mph here in the mtns. While not excessive, the winds in the high desert could gust over 40 mph, hence the PSPS concern.
Hornet10 hour(s) ago Hey Razz, check with Tim Evans, he does all that stuff too!
MtnR12 hour(s) ago Just a heads up for anyone in Big Bear SCE has some of the lines that feed power into our area on a PSPS watch for Friday into the weekend. Doesn't mean the power will definitely go out, but something to keep an eye on! You can check SCE's map here: [Click Here]
