Richardbo- true about Sund but I've been to council meetings where Putz stood for the citizens and was out voted by the self serving council members. Sadly it takes more than one decent politician to change things. Of course attending council meetings keeps the heat on the others and is effective. Have you been lately?

@gratefulOne I thought maybe 8am is when they can legally start but we have SoCal gas working on our street and it feels like they start up around 7-7:30.

If there’s anyone awake that knows when construction noises are legally allowed to begin in the am, and how many days in a row is allowed. We are so fatigued from our newest ‘neighbors’ gaslighting about a laundry room being built in their garage. A laundry room doesn’t require 3 men, 10 hours a day for two weeks, does it? I can hear them moving lumber and setting up their tools and equipment right now for crying out loud. Thank you

Feeling bad for all the people on my block. Looks like the service vehicle (tractor) that SoCal Gas parked here has some issue with its horn or battery. Every 15 mins the tractor/service vehicle's horn blares (sounds like someone is holding down the horn).

Ironically, people suing them is exactly why they're shutting off the power during any wind events. People didn't use to be so sue happy. Now you can sue if someone looks at you wrong in public.

Doggie Daddy….been here over 30 years and we have not had a wildfire due to power lines and wind! It is a f$ck f$ck game because they were held accountable in other communities due to their rickety-rack equipment and lines! WE ALL NEED TO SUE THEM! BIG HUGE LAWSUIT because that is all these people understand!

Big Bear residents held prisoners by SCE. Sounds like a 3rd world country to me. Theres got to be a better way. Tell me what other towns go thru this on a basis as BB ?

I hear ya, cricket. It's disconcerting when you have to run around and get your resources ready for an outage. I'd suggest that it happens often enough that we should just always be in a state of readiness. I will say, that I'd rather be threatened by a potential power shutoff, than by a wildfire. I've personally had too many of those come scarily close. Evacuations are far more stressful.

All these threats are abusive towards elderly disabled people that are using life sustaining machinery. Constant threats

After hazardous conditions subside, SCE must inspect the affected power lines before restoring service. Inspections generally occur during daylight hours, and restoration may require up to eight additional hours. Actual restoration timing will depend on weather conditions, inspection results, and whether repairs are necessary. BVES will continue to monitor weather conditions and inform customers of any significant changes that could affect their service.
