I'm running Pi-Hole on a Raspberry Pi to block ads for every device on my home network or the past 2+ years -- Love it! But a couple of weeks ago, I was seeing ads on SCM when I was attached to my big bear network. Not sure why other than I haven't ran an update in a while.

Another good browser (at least with Android) is Firefox Focus.
