@Doug Cool! That was the exact spot I was at Tuesday night. Tucked out of the way (cars passing *behind* you, not in front lol) I’m glad you & your GF had a great experience!

We went to Shay/Baldwin Lake at the SE corner of Baldwin Lake by the Big Tree. It was a perfect place to see Comet Neowise. At 930pm it was a clear naked eye object. Through birdwatching binoculars it was good, through my 15 x 70 Astronomical Binoculars it was breathtaking! Watched it for 45 minutes. My GF clearly saw the first comet in her life! Looking forward to tomorrow night to see it again.

I saw neowise, just dipped below kinda where the dump is. NW. I was looking too far W. Camera did near all blk pics, f:2.8, ISO 1200, 50mm zoom. Shutter was whack, 3 photos at a time and much too fast. >1/400 ..couldn't get back to setting.

Trail tail is like 3" at arms length.

Thanks Toddy. I saw your beautiful and amazing pics. We will have two different pairs of binoculars. I know that it's getting higher in the sky each night, but the Astronomy reports I saw said last week it was at maximum brightness and that it's going to keep fading from now. I'm looking forward to tonight. Thanks for your tips and suggestions.

@Doug -- FYI: the comet may be faint to see with the naked eye tonight. But it will get better going into next week. My first time looking for it (4a last Friday morning) I was able to see it with just my eyes. It was a bit hard to see it with my eyes last night, but my camera could pick it up. (old eyes)
