CHP is advising that they have a Hazmat situation at the Major Traffic Accident on SR18 to Lucerne. Advising this will be a LONG TERM CLOSURE of SR18 between Baldwin Lake and Lucerne Valley.

Caltrans has not closed SR18 in the Arctic Circle as of 10am. They are reporting one-way alternating traffic, but it is not closed. CHP was asking earlier if it would be closed and I didn't hear the answer but as of now Arctic Circle is open with controlled traffic.

Big one is on SR18 below the switchbacks. Major Incident with multiple major injuries.

Stay off 38 this morning! With both other roads closed its going to be BUSY.

I heard accident by Mitsubishi and another big one somewhere in the east valley!

The back way is closed and no sign at the top telling you it is

Dear SCM Alert! Thank you for your input. I had long suspected he meant coming up the front, but the driver insisted it was 38 that where the problem was. He later called me and said someone crashed into a power poll. Funny thing. All persons involved in the communicating were born outside the U.S. Thr driver, a Mexican, the owner of the medical transport business, an Indian, and I, the patient, a German. But I've been here since I was 3 years old.
