MrsBearendipity11 hour(s) ago Happy New Year everyone! Just made the trek from San Diego and came up 38. I never knew I could miss a road so much. So gorgeous. It was a steady stream of traffic both directions but road was great and no crazy drivers. The snow play folks were taking their life in their own hands. Little kids crossing in front of cars going 55 miles an hour up near Onyx Summit. Totally insane. Other than that, 38 was a little slice of heaven 😊
njreyn13 hour(s) ago BillyJean: I do! As long as they're not burning down my house! SocalSnowMan: Clouds have been off/on at ground level this afternoon here on Eagle Point. I expect 18 is socked in at present. If you don't like it, standby. It'll be changing momentarily...
SocalSnowMan15 hour(s) ago Good afternoon all. Just checking in on local conditions and all. Hope to be up early next week. Have a great day!
Applenut16 hour(s) ago Came down Hwy 38 yesterday afternoon. Creeks were really ripping, but no damage or flooding to the highway. Very few rocks, nice and clear, uncrowded, but someone still managed to roll their Ford Explorer at the mouth of Mill Creek Canyon. No matter the road hazard; ice, rocks, curves, oncoming cars, deer, fog; slowing down will make it much better.
