Fox on my deck

There was a big thump when I opened the blinds this morning. It was much to big to have been a squirrel. Instead of the expected racoon, there was this guy:
Apologies for the embarrassingly bad image. The only camera within instant grab range had every setting wrong and no time to change anything before Mr. Fox jumped off the deck rail into a tree.
Since 1955, I have never seen a wild fox anywhere around here, certainly not on a second-story deck.
Once the food-stealing interloper had departed, the fierce watch dog took his post:

I'm glad you got a picture! I have yet to see the fox that comes around our place a lot. (Seen him/her on the game cam many times - that's the only way I know they're there.)
