Fish kills are nothing new, about 1978 boulder bay was crammed with trout and fishing was incredible. Next morning there were thousands of dead trout, the fish used up all the oxygen overnight and wow, that was a shock...

Marshall I've been fishing this lake most of my life and it's still confounds me lol. I know that March April and May are really good months for trout. Trolling from a boat is more consistent than throwing bait from the beach. Maybe check out one of the guide services to see how it's done?

the dead ones I saw I believe were trout as well. By the boardwalk in Baker Pond its carp that people bowhunt for

So these fish were primarily trout and were unmarked. This tells me they were not caught and released improperly or grazed by an arrow or anything like that. I honestly think it's a water condition. Nothing on the MWD website about it though.

Alg, were there any injuries on the fish? I see a lot of fish floating around the boardwalk when people are fishing with those bows

Is the aeration fountain or bubbler going? Every time im out there have been numerous trouties jumping, ive seen a number of them jump about 4 feet up, very healthy fishery, at least it was...

No, I'm not, but thanks for asking. My comment had more to do with your comments on how much better Running Springs is than Big Bear, not the particular comment for Cb5050.

We don't seem to have the bright green or strong odor this August like we sometimes do. I think the relatively cooler temps help with that
