KJ Barton2 hour(s) ago **Alert** Does anyone know the whereabouts of a person named Cristtel Lopez AKA Cristtel Azucena Smith? If so, please email me privately at kjbarton1©gmail.com. I will not share your information. If she is looking to rent your property, do NOT rent to her. She is a fraud, owes a lot of money, damages properties and is in possession of stolen items from houses she has rented. She is in her late 30s and has 3 boys. She has lived in Running Springs and more recently, Skyforest. Thank you, Ken.
mountainart2 hour(s) ago since your dollar is being debased at over 5% a year+ due to govt deliberately needing to keep inflation going to pay off banks, in actuality it means your taxed value is actually going down. This is fine if you have s constant income stream that is goong up with official inflation numbers, but wholly devastating to those on fixed retirement income.
Just be glad you don',t live in a state where a developer comes in and builds mansions around you and your property assessed values go up just because neighbors built up the neighborhood.
It is all evil. Florida gets it, and I hope their tax exemption on your homestead passes.
Bexardog3 hour(s) ago I have lived in Big Bear 8 years now and I can’t think of a single year our property taxes haven’t gone up.

echofox17 hour(s) ago I hope the Governor isn't listening!
Van19 hour(s) ago if you've had a reduction in the past like what happened in 2009-12 ish then then they can catch you up but can never go above 2% a year cumulatively
Van19 hour(s) ago under prop 13 property taxes can go up a max of 2% a year unless there are voter approved initiatives
Benny ⭐19 hour(s) ago Unfortunately, they're susceptible to review and increase based on property values from time to time, unless you're grandfathered in from an old purchase. As you mentioned, selling would also trigger a new assessment. Good ole Cali!
BootsNBridles19 hour(s) ago Wow. Our property taxes went UP. I thought that wasn't supposed to happen until a property was sold or improved. What a shock.
